We refuse to believe that euthanasia is the only option for pet over population in this country. Safe Harbor offers low-cost spay/neuter services and a full service veterinary hospital open to the public. Click here to learn more about us.
You Can Help!
Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary & Hospital - A No-Kill Shelter Open to the Public.
We Need Your Help:
The Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary in Jupiter went up in flames overnight March 14th 2008, but heroic efforts by the Jupiter Police Department and Palm Beach County Firefighters saved 38 animals.
Thanks to the donations of our supporters, we have filled our storage resources to overflowing with dog and cat food, bedding and cleaning supplies. At this point, our needs are primarily financial. Because storage space is limited, we are in most need of monetary donations. Another option would be gift certificates from PetSmart so that we may purchase needed items for our shelter.
Remember Those Who Perished In The Fire Of March 14, 2008
As many of you know, in the early morning hours of Friday, March 14, 2008, Safe Harbor's Animal Hospital went up in flames. In spite of the heroic efforts of the Jupiter Police, Palm Beach County Firefighters and Safe Harbor staff, 14 animals perished.

UPDATES:
Our
temporary veterinary hospital is now open in Suite 222, next to
Duffy's. Please call us at (561) 747-1598 for an appointment.
Initially,
all of our shelter dogs were fostered out in a tremendous outpouring of
support from the community. We are tremendously grateful to everyone
who has fostered or is still fostering. Recently, however, many of our
larger dog fosters have returned and need to be fostered out again as
our shelter is currently being rebuilt. Please call Kelly at (561)
747-5311 if you are available to foster a large dog.
We need your assistance. Our laundry situation has gotten out of hand and we need help from volunteers. This will be an ongoing request as we are at a peak with our dog intake and therefore are using more towels, blankets and comforters. As our shelter is under construction we are short on washers and dryers on the premises. PLEASE. If you could assist us by volunteering to take a bag or two once or twice a week and wash and dry them, we would be extremely grateful. Please call Cindy at (561) 747-8084 for details. This volunteering effort qualifies for community service hours.
